Pattern #TV363   1887 SUMMER OVERSKIRT  

The front drapes just overlap in the center front and the sides are pulled high up onto the hips. The back is bouffant, with the sides falling in folds to make a nice uneven hemline. The closure is in the enter front.

Pattern #TV290    1889 DRAPED SKIRT

All of the drapes a created by pleats off the waistband. The closure is in the center back. This skirt can also be made into an overskirt by bunching up the sides. This style was popular in the very late 1880’s.

Truly Victorian #TV590

Pattern #TV 590   1890's Cape

This elbow length cape was seen throughout the 1890's as the basic wrap of the times. It is cut in the Military style, also known as the ¾ Cape. It can be cut with a straight or scalloped hem. The reveres at the center front are optional. The collar is the stand-with-flair style, with wires to support the shape. The lining fabric is seen at the inside collar and optional reveres.

This pattern provides for a fully lined cape, and it can be interlined with flannel for warmth. The closure can be cloak clasps, coat hooks, or frogs, as desired. Approximate yardage required for 45" wide fabric for all sizes is 1 1/4 yards.

Multi-sized: Small - XL. Approximate yardage required for 45" wide fabric is 1 1/4 yards.

This skirt is slim with gentle draping across the front. The demi-trained back is cut in fan shape and hangs in a large box pleat. The closure is in the left side seam.

This skirt is constructed all in one piece. The front is narrow and fitted with darts. The full back lies in folds with a center back closure. Requires minimum of 50” material for taller sizes.

This bodice fits smoothly over a corset with a pointed front and back. The neck is rounded and the closure is in the center back. The pouf sleeve is formed in chrysanthemum style.  Multi-sized 30-50" bust included in pattern. Does not fit over a bustle.

Pattern #TV280   Can-Can Skirt

This is the classic skirt worn by Can-Can dancers in the 1890's. A full circle, 32" length and a lining filled with ruffles. Center back closure. Perfect for saloon and dance hall wear. Multi-sized small 20" waist -3x-large 44" waist. Approximate yardage required for 45" wide fabric 7 yards, lining 7 yards.

Pattern #TV492  1890's Victorian Corselets

This Corselet is designed to be worn on the outside, similar to a wide belt, and shaped to fit snug to the body. This pattern contains two corselets, one tall and one short. Both extend below the waist a few inches and have points in front and back. They both lace at the center back. The short corset is 4" wide at the side and 8" center front and back. The tall corset is 6" wide at the side and 9 1/2" at the front and back. Fully boned, this corselet will retain the perfect shape through extended wear. They can fit with or without a bustle.

The corselets are perfect for wear with a blouse, to keep the trim waistline. They were very popular in the 1890's, but also are seen in the 1880's. Wear under an Eton Jacket for a very fashionable look. Approximate yardage required for 45" wide fabric is 2/3 yards. Multi-sized: 20-44".
