Women's Victorian Era Clothing Patterns

The patterns in this collection are reproductions from actual  patterns of the 1800's.  They  were sized for that period of time and have NOT been adjusted  to today's figure. These patterns are recommended for very experienced seamstresses who have advanced sewing and pattern adjustment skill's.

This lawn house dress includes the skirt and jacket. The straight skirt is 3 yards wide, and is edged with a flounce 10" deep and 4 1/2 yards wide. Some sewing instruction given. Approx yardage-10 yards of 32" wide fabric.

Plain cream white satin and brocaded white satin are combined in the skirt of this gown, while the bodice consists of a sharply pointed corselet of brocade over a guimpe of white chiffon, with puffed sleeves and basque of chiffon, and lace epaulettes. Some sewing instructions giving. Approx yardage-11 yards of 45" wide satin-4 yards of 45" wide brocade.

The model illustrated was of an oxford gray mixture, trimmed with black tubular braid. It has a short close fitting waist trimmed with braid across the bust and around the arms, and at the back. Some sewing instructions given. Approx yardage-10 yards of 45" wide fabric.

Pattern #A1025  1897 AUTUMN JACKET

This Jacket was made of dark green cloth trimmed with black moiré ribbon gathered on both edges and edged with black soutache set in loops. The collar is lined with Alaskan sable fur. Some sewing instruction given. Approx yardage-2 1/2 yards for 54" wide fabric.

This gown was of pink silk gauze over pink taffeta, which has a loose train. The flounces are appliquéd in black lace and consists of skirt, bodice and jacket.  Minimal sewing instructions given. Approx yardage-9 yards taffeta-19 yards gauze-double width-3/4 yards satin-19 yards lace.
